License and distribution

SpielPasswords is open source under the Apache License 2.0. That license governs use, modification, and redistribution of the software, including its warranty and liability provisions. The name and artwork are separate from the code license; see the project’s trademark guidance.

App Store distribution is in preparation. For an App Store download, Apple’s Standard EULA applies unless a custom agreement is supplied. Apple handles purchases and refunds. These terms do not remove rights granted by the open-source license.

Using the app

You are responsible for your master password, database files, and backups. A forgotten master password cannot be recovered by SpielSoft. Unencrypted exports and copied credentials can expose passwords; protect those copies.

Optional storage and synchronization providers have their own terms. Deleting the app does not delete files kept with those providers.

The software is provided AS IS, subject to the governing license and any rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
