SpielPasswords Privacy Policy
Last revised: October 14, 2026
SpielPasswords keeps your logins and notes in encrypted files you control. It requires no SpielSoft account and has no password-storage server, advertising, or analytics.
What stays on your device
The app reads and writes the password database you open. Local preferences remember recent files, and interrupted edits are saved locally in encrypted files. If you enable Touch ID, the database key is stored in Apple’s Keychain.
What you choose to share
If you store a database in iCloud Drive or another synced folder, that provider handles synchronization under its own terms and privacy policy. SpielSoft does not receive your database.
Copying credentials puts them on the system clipboard. JSON exports contain unencrypted passwords and notes. These copies need the same care as the credentials themselves.
If you buy through the App Store, Apple handles payment and purchase records. SpielPasswords does not receive your payment-card details.
Your controls
You can delete records and database files. Deleting a record does not erase older file copies, backups, exports, or clipboard contents. You manage cloud copies through your storage provider; deleting the app does not delete those files.
Turning off Touch ID removes its saved Keychain key. There is no SpielSoft account to delete or server-side password recovery.
Privacy questions
For privacy questions or access requests, contact support@spielsoft.com. Do not post passwords or database files in public GitHub issues.
Changes to this policy will appear here with a revised date.
